August has arrived, and with it comes a burst of summery energy and delightful flavours that are too good to miss.

As we immerse ourselves in the heart of summer, we can’t help but celebrate the abundance of nature’s finest offerings. The months of harvest have begun, and now is the time to gather, feast and reflect on all that has been accomplished this year so far – all beneath a rare Super Blue Moon on August 31st!

This month, nature brings us a harvest of plums, apples, pears, cherries and runner beans. 


Great British pub series

We are thrilled to announce that Chef Pip Lacey of Hicce Hart will join forces with our own Chef Scott Smith, on Monday 25th September at 7pm, for the next in our Great British Pub Series.  

Pip has made a name for herself as one of London’s most exciting culinary talents. Having honed her craft working alongside Gordon Ramsay and Angela Hartnett, heading up the kitchen of Angela’s Michelin-starred Murano, and winning the BBC’s “Great British Menu” in 2017. Following this Pip opened her first solo venture in King’s Cross, Hicce. In 2022, Pip went on to open Hicce Hart, a gastropub in Islington which serves a menu of elevated classics with a focus on fresh produce and British style plates.
