JANUARY at the Oarsman

January is the time for rest, reflection and imaginings. The busy festive season has passed, and we can pause for a moment before launching fully into the year ahead. This is a time of darkness, rest and recuperation. Embrace soul-warming dishes, rich wines and wrap yourself up in all The Oarsman has to offer.

This is the month to enjoy purple sprouting broccoli, Jerusalem artichokes, carrots, leeks and parsnips.

We are now open until 5pm on Sundays, so you can enjoy the warmth of The Oarsman a little longer every Sunday.

We are proud to work with horticulturalist Lindsay Engers of Chiltern Heritage Orchards, who uses traditional short, intensive sheep grazing and strict organic standards to establish over 250 cultivars of exceptional fruit, including the beautiful apples in our Apple & Pear Pavlova.
