As the sun dips lower in the sky, the final days of summer whisper their goodbyes. The long, golden afternoons that seemed to stretch on endlessly now grow shorter, and the warm breeze that once carried the scent of fresh-cut grass begins to cool.
The night arrives a little sooner each day, bringing with it the soft glow of the harvest moon and the first hint of autumn’s chill.
This month, nature brings us a harvest of root vegetables, blackberries, apples, pears and damsons.
