Roast Chiltern Venison, Faggot, Braised Cavolo Nero, Pickled Pear
Our delicious Venison is sourced from our local and trusted supplier Chiltern Venison. We receive the whole venison which throughout November you will see different cuts used in various dishes on our menu.
IN THE SHAKER
“Moncalieri” The Italian liqueur Italicus is produced in the Italian town of Moncalieri, after which our November cocktail is named. In “Moncalieri” you will find flavour notes of earthy melon and light citrus, delivering a beautiful balance between sweet and bitter, giving way to a complex and long-lasting finish. Ingredients include Madori, Italicus Liqueur, Cranberry Juice, Lime Juice, Fig Syrup, Angostura & Foaming Bitters. |

Great British Pub Series

Luke Payne, owner of The Pack Horse in Hayfield – recently named number 18 in the Top 50 Gastropubs 2023 – will take over the kitchen alongside Scott Smith of The Oarsman.
From washing dishes in a pub, Luke, is a self-taught Chef who has earned acclaim for his innovative approach to British cuisine and unique flavour combinations, reimagining traditional dishes while preserving their authenticity.
