It is snowdrops that encapsulate the energy of February, pushing up through the cold ground sometimes beneath a blanket of snow. They are a sign that things are moving towards spring – but there is plenty more winter still to come. This month, we get a great boost from the lengthening of the evenings and from a few mild days: we are like shoots pushing through the dark soil, faces eagerly towards the sun.

Great British Pub Series
To honour the age-old tradition of ‘The Great British Pub’, The Oarsman & Heaf Chef Scott Smith will invite chefs from celebrated, award-winning pubs across the UK to collaborate and create limited-edition menus! Our first guest chef will join us on the 28th of February – Simon Bonwick from the Dew Drop Inn in Hurley.
