Wassailing week at The Oarsman featuring Little Pomona orchards in Herefordshire.
Celebrating the gastronomic calendar starts with the tradition of Wassailing.
Wassailing stems from both warding away bad spirits in order to have a good harvest and the wishing of good fortune to fellow man.
We can’t think of a more appropriate sentiment for our times and in keeping with a more modern tradition of Dry January please be reassured all these ciders are dry.
We want to showcase our friends at Little Pomona
So we are opening a wide selection of these gastronomic sensations to give you a chance to try them by the glass.
We have also tailored our Larder and Charcuterie menu to accompany them with the addition of some Shellfish and Game as this is also the best time of the year for them.
